The rate depends on your city, how long you need care, and how many children you have. The legal minimum is the French net minimum wage (€9.74/h in 2026). On Babysittor, the average observed rate is around €10 per hour, with slight variations by city. Thanks to the 50% tax credit and the complément de libre choix du mode de garde (CMG) from the CAF family allowance fund, in-home childcare often costs far less than parents expect.
Pay your babysitter directly through the Babysittor app, simply and securely. You set the rate together. Declare your babysitter via Pajemploi or CESU (chèque emploi service universel) to claim the 50% tax credit and stay compliant with French rules.
